eligibility and selection procedures
In order to apply to the ACE programme, independent producers must :
• Be based in the European Union (or Media Programme member countries);
• Have already produced at least one feature film;
• Have an internationally-targeted project in development;
• Be assured of their availability for the interviews, the workshops and the Annual Reunion.
Once these few factual criteria have been fulfilled, selection is both project and profile-based.
Selection Dates (one session per year)
Application deadline: June 20th 2011 (registration fee 100 €).
Preselection during summer, shortlist mid-September.
Selection interviews: end of September in Paris.
Development Workshop: 5 days late October in France.
Financing Workshop: one week mid-December in Germany.
Project-workshop / Annual Reunion: one week late March - early April.
The cost of the initial programme is 5.500 €.
It is possible to obtain a bursary to help finance the first year. Please contact the ACE office for more details.
At the end of this initial year, ACE producers may choose to remain in the network and continue benefitting from ACE development counseling, advantages and events by paying a yearly fee of 700€ (only the Developement Workshop, the Financing workshop and Project Workshop are limited to new comers).
