eligibility and selection procedures
In order to apply to the ACE programme, independent producers must :
• Be based in the European Union (or Media Programme member countries);
• Have already produced at least one feature film;
• Have an internationally-targeted project in development;
• Be assured of their availability for the interviews, the workshops and the Annual Reunion.
Once these few factual criteria have been fulfilled, selection is both project and profile-based.
Selection Dates (one session per year)
Application deadline: July 2nd 2008 (registration fee 100 €).
Preselection during summer, shortlist mid-September.
Selection interviews: early October in Paris or London.
Pre-workshops: two days, early November
Residential Workshop: one week, early December, in France.
Post-workshop / Annual Reunion: four days mid-March.
The cost of the initial programme is 5.500 €.
It is possible to obtain a bursary to help finance the first year. Please contact the ACE office for more details.
At the end of this initial year, ACE producers may choose to remain in the network and continue benefitting from ACE development counselling, advantages and events by paying a yearly fee of 700 €(only the pre-workshops, workshop and post-workshop are limited to new comers).
