The AUSTRAL INDUSTRY MEETINGS, which will take place over 4 days during the Festival International de Cine de Valdivia, are its professional extension and will create a unique opportunity for European professionals to strengthen their relationship with the Latin-American film industry.

For the Pitching Session and the Work in Progress of this first edition of the AUSTRAL INDUSTRY MEETINGS, ACE will bring to Valdivia key players of the European film industry (producers, financing organisms, sales agents, and broadcasters) and experienced ACE producers.
Together with their Latin-American peers they will meet the directors and producers of the 18 selected projects and films thus supporting the emerging talents from Latin America.

A CO-PRODUCTION MEETING IN LATIN AMERICA

In October 2010, ACE and the Festival Internacional de Cine de Valdivia (FICV) will organise the first AUSTRAL INDUSTRY MEETINGS (AIM), with the support of MEDIA International.

After 16 editions, the FICV is one of the biggest film festivals in Latin America. This event will be the professional extension of the festival and will be an occasion for European producers, distributors, broadcasters and financing organisms to strengthen their relationship with the film industry in this geographical zone.

AIM will take place over 4 days and consist of:

- CO-PRODUCTION MEETINGS: 12 Latin-American projects in the process of being financed  will be presented.

- A WORK IN PROGRESS proposing 6 Latin-American films either in post-production or looking for a co-producer, European distributor or international sales agent.
