For the second year in a row, ACE held its CO-PRODUCTION LAB IN JAPAN, from 7th to 12th January, in Kyoto and Tokyo, a collaboration with Unijapan and Téléfilm Canada, with the support of MEDIA International.

12 experienced producers from Europe, Canada and Japan participated in the CO-PRODUCTION LAB with their film project, along with experts such as Ichiro Yamamoto (Shochiku, JP), Niv Fichman (Rhombus Media, CA), Eve Gabereau (Soda Pictures, UK), Yuji Sadai (Bitters End, JP), Shozo Ichiyama (Office Kitano, JP) and Jean-Christophe Simon (Films Boutique, DE).

The workshop consisted in co-production case studies, marketplace presentations, pitching sessions, 1-to-1 meetings, networking events, and visits of the Toei Movies Studios and the Schochiku Kyoto Studios. The EU, Canadian and Japanese participants found there a unique opportunity to connect and improve their knowledge of both the industries.
