ACE CO-PRODUCTION LAB IN JAPAN 2011

For the second year in a row,  ACE held its CO-PRODUCTION LAB  IN JAPAN, from 7th to 12th January, in Kyoto and Tokyo, a collaboration with Unijapan and Téléfilm Canada, with the support of MEDIA International.

12 experienced producers from Europe, Canada and Japan participated in the CO-PRODUCTION LAB with their film project, along with experts such as Ichiro Yamamoto (Shochiku, JP), Niv Fichman (Rhombus Media, CA), Eve Gabereau (Soda Pictures, UK), Yuji Sadai (Bitters End, JP), Shozo Ichiyama (Office Kitano, JP) and Jean-Christophe Simon (Films Boutique, DE).

The workshop consisted in co-production case studies, marketplace presentations, pitching sessions, 1-to-1 meetings, networking events, and visits of the Toei Movies Studios and the Schochiku Kyoto Studios.  The EU, Canadian and Japanese participants found there a unique opportunity to connect and improve their knowledge of both the industries.

ACE CO-PRODUCTION LAB IN JAPAN

In 2010,  ACE held its first CO-PRODUCTION LAB  IN JAPAN, a collaboration with Unijapan. The second edition of this lab will take place in January 2011. If you want to make an application please contact Sabrina Camus (sabrina@ace-producers.com).

This year, this exclusive event, a 4-day workshop, gathered 20 European and Japanese experienced professionals to develop the opportunities for artistic and financial cooperation between these two zones, thanks to the support of MEDIA INTERNATIONAL and UNIJAPAN.
