Cinekid Junior Co-Production Market Open for Submissions

The Junior Co-production Market is a single, integrated co-production market during the Cinekid festival that enables financiers, broadcasters and professionals to assess new and innovative children’s film and television projects.

The Call for Entry for this year’s Junior Co-production Market is now open. To find out more please click here to go the to their website.

The submission deadline is 15 June 2017.

Every year over 200 industry professionals visit the Junior Co-production Market. 50% of the professionals in attendance are producers, the other 50% are financiers looking to find new productions they’re keen to participate in. Aside from the one-to-one meetings there are many industry drinks, lunch and dinner opportunities to network and meet the financiers that you are looking for. The market is part of Cinekid for Professionals, a four day industry event for children’s media professionals and a partner of ACE Producers.

The Junior Co-production Market will take place on 26 & 27 October 2017.

THE SQUARE WINS PALME D’OR

Produced by Swedish ACE producer Erik Hemmendorff and co-produced by Danish ACE producer Katja Adomeit, “The Square” took the top prize at the closing ceremony of the 70th Cannes Film Festival. The jury, headed by this year’s president Pedro Almodóvar, awarded director Ruben Östlund the Palme d’Or for his art-world satire, which the jury commended for its blackly comedic take on political correctness.

Producer Erik Hemmendorff came through the ACE 21 workshops with Östlund’s last film “Force Majeure” which won the Jury Prize at Un Certain Regard in Cannes in 2014. Katja Adomeit, who co-produced “Force Majeure” as well as the “The Square”, attended the ACE 24 workshops in 2014.
